Louis Apollon (Louie Lou Louis) is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter known for his warm presence and infectious positivity. Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City by parents of Haitian descent, he experienced a rich mix of cultures from a very young age. Music has always sparked his curiosity—from learning his way around his first instrument, the clarinet, imitating sounds from the radio, to breaking his father's old record player while trying to scratch records. It was very common for him to hear sounds from around the world on a daily basis, and those influences continue to shape the music he makes today.

His professional career began in Chicago, Illinois, where he worked in the advertising industry after earning a business degree from the University of Notre Dame. Though he remained in that field for four years, he realized he was constantly seeking out opportunities to create and perform music. Determined to follow his passion, he committed himself to music full-time, first by attending the Jazz Studies Program at Cuyahoga Community College and later earning a degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music. Since graduation, Louis regularly tours his original music, teaches, leads workshops, and is a strong presence in the folk music community.

A vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Louis is known for his solo, duo, and full-band projects. His music draws from jazz, folk, blues, pop, and global traditions, creating a sound that is both familiar and unique. He is a strong believer in audience engagement and participation, and he strives to use his work to positively impact the world and its listeners.

He recently self-released his second studio album, moonlit dream, to critical acclaim. On this record, he explores hist Haitian heritage, celebrates Black identity, and highlights the importance of community. Through stories and musical conversations, the album navigates a wide range of emotions and life experiences, offering an inspired and organic listening experience.
